Big Data Isn't Enough
Big data is no longer a luxury; it’s now a necessity. But as your company collects mountains of data, the question soon becomes:
What do we do with all this data?
“Four years ago, organizations and executives were struggling to understand the opportunity and business impact of Big Data. While many executives loathed the term, others were apostles of the belief that data-driven analysis could transform business decision-making. Now, we have arrived at a new juncture: Big Data is emerging as a corporate standard, and the focus is rapidly shifting to the results it produces and the business capabilities it enables.” ~ Harvard Business Review: “Just Using Big Data Isn’t Enough Anymore”
When most of us are asked for data, we fire up Excel, pouring through dozens of columns to try to find the information we need.
And if something we came across months ago has a potential relationship with the data we’re looking at now, that relationship is going to go unnoticed.
Making Data Visual
What we need is visual data: data that shows us the whole picture.
But building visual dashboards can take months, and often needs to get past at least a few design and budget approvals to see the light of day.
We’re working with an outdated data model, one that undermines the value of the data we’re collecting.
It’s time for a dynamic, proactive solution.
